Butler University recently announced 2015 Marquette Catholic graduate Kate Holtz has been selected as a "Top 100" student. Kate received this distinguished honor in recognition of her leadership on campus, community involvement, and academic performance. The Top 100 program recognizes juniors or seniors who maintain a 3.5 GPA and have been nominated by faculty, staff or a fellow student. Nominees are then screened by the Selection Committee who select the Top 100. Selected students "reflect outstanding character, scholarship, engaged citizenship, leadership, and commitment to fostering diversity" (www.butler.edu/top100).
Butler (Indianapolis, IN) is a private university with 4,798 students.
"My academic transition to Butler was much easier than other students experienced because I attended Marquette Catholic", said Holtz. "AP Composition transformed my writing abilities in my senior year at MCHS and more than prepared me for college. I am also grateful for the way Marquette prepared me for college-level tests, especially finals. Due to my AP and dual credit classes from Marquette I was able to study abroad, double major and will still graduate in 4 years from Butler".
Please join us in congratulating Kate on all her accomplishments. We wish her the best in her future.
