What can we do to help? MCHS Student-Athletes work behind the scenes.

The 6th Annual Taste in Ferguson had some Explorer help again this year.  The Marquette Catholic Girls Varsity and JV Volleyball, Cheerleaders, Football, and Baseball teams once again volunteered at the Taste in Ferguson on Sunday (Sept 9). This event was started to help fund scholarship funds in memory of Robbie MacGarthland and Samantha Lipka.  Attendees paid an admission fee for samplings of food and drink from several dozen local restaurants and businesses in the city and surrounding communities.

The Marquette students helped across the board. The Marquette Volleyball teams worked various jobs: food sampling tent, water/soda station, food service and general runners for food booths, the Cheerleaders helped in the kids craft area, the Marquette baseball team helped with set up and the Marquette football team assisted in tearing down after the event at the Savoy Banquet Center.

With a little help of a few St. Mary's 8th Grade boys the tents were raised.
