Addison Groshans |
Senior Addie Groshans is the daughter of Angie Thyer & Andrew Groshans. She maintains a 4.656 GPA and will graduate with 42 dual college credit hours. Addie has been active in Student Council and the Breast Cancer Awareness (BCA) Club, as well as a member of the Marquette Catholic Volleyball team for 4 years. Addie is also proud to be a Community House Captain at Marquette and the Secretary of the National Honor Society (NHS). Addie's decision to attend Lewis & Clark, where she will major in Nursing, has been influenced by the Marquette spirit of Serviam, and her own experience with personal loss. At the age of 11 her grandfather passed away from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig's disease. This experience led to Addie's interest in becoming an advocate for people living with neuromuscular disorders, including a recent meeting in Washington DC where she advocated to members of the Congress on behalf of those suffering from ALS and similar diseases. |
