With our Blue Crew decked out in their baseball themed attire and the basketball team doing their part in winning by two with only seconds remaining, it was a perfect Friday night at Marquette Catholic to celebrate the 40th anniversary of our 1984 IHSA State Baseball Championship!
The team included Alan File, Tim Holt, and Chris Taul, who we are certain were watching and celebrating along with us in Heaven. They, and their families, will always be in our hearts and prayers. The roster also included Ron Hauck, Bart Hentrich, Chris Norton, Steve Schwegel, Jeff Tanner, Tad Holt, Bob Carroll, Mark Dorsey, John Ducey, Jim Fischer, Dan Fitzgerald, David Grabner, Todd Hawkins, Marty Johnes, Kyle Schelle, Scott Taul, and Todd Zinn. The team was coached by Greg DeCourcey and assisted by John Waters.
Thank you to David Grabner, the winning pitcher of the championship game, who donated the game ball to the school, to be placed in our trophy case.
