Sophomore, Adrenna Snipes hit a career milestone at Tuesday night's game against MELHS. The game was stopped as teammates, family, and friends erupted into cheers to acknowledge her achievement.

Congratulations to Brian Hoener, who was named Director of Athletics for Marquette Catholic. Mr. Hoener comes to MCHS from Fontbonne University, where he is currently the Assistant Director. He will begin his full-time duties at MCHS on July 1st.

Join us in congratulating Aaron Boulch, Riley Vickrey, William Roderfeld, and Gracie Piar on being chosen as Advantage News Players of the Year. Additionally, Girls Golf Coach Deb Walsh, Boys Golf Coach Ryan Geisler and Boys Soccer Coach Tim Gould were named Coaches of the Year.

The Cross Country team was all in attendance to watch senior, Riley Vickrey, sign her Letter of Intent to Missouri Southern State University. Congratulations to Riley on becoming a Lion!

Congratulation to this year's newest members of the MCHS National Honor Society. To be nominated to NHS the students must maintain a 3.8 GPA and exemplify the organizations four principles: character, scholarship, leadership & service.

The Marquette student body, administration, faculty and staff send their condolences to the Vandalia community. After a moment of silence the students said a prayer for the Protz and Lidy families.

Meg Miller, the MCHS Alumni Director, welcomed former Explorers at Homeslice in Lincoln Park. This event is just one way Meg hope to help alumni stay connected to Marquette. Stay tuned to find out where the next event will be held.

The 2019 came to an end Tuesday night in the semi finals to Columbia. Varsity finished 20-13 and won the Prairie State Conference. Congratulations Coaches and Players on a fantastic season!

A 2-1 victory against Columbia sends the Explorers to the State semi-finals. Game time is 7pm Friday, November 1 at the Eastside Centre located at 1 Eastside Dr, East Peoria, IL 61611. The Explorers are slated to play Quincy Notre Dame.
