Founded in 1927, Marquette Catholic High School is a college preparatory,

co-educational school where we do exactly that, prepare students for college.

The Marquette experience is unique, challenging and - a lot of fun. Every year, our students go on to attend some of the nation's finest universities. As a college prep school, we prepare our students to graduate from, not just get into, college. We know we have succeeded when our graduates tell us "Marquette was tougher than their first couple years of college."

Marquette Catholic recognizes seniors Addison Groshans and Karson Morrissey as student standouts! They were chosen based on their outstanding academic accomplishments as well as their involvement in many school extra-curricular activities and Serviam spirit.

NHS Welcomes New Members

The MCHS National Honor Society proudly presented their newest members to family and friends. These student must meet rigorous academic requirements, as well as, strive to live by the four cardinal principles of the organization: character, scholarship, leadership, and service.

Explorer Volleyball

MCHS students Finn Murphy, Rodger Zawodniak, Luke Steyer, Peyton Crane, and Alyssa Converse participated in the 2024 Illinois General Assembly Youth Conference hosted at LCCC.

Athlete of the Month

Carson Jones, a junior, is the Marquette Catholic Athlete of the Month, presented by The Loading Dock. Jones was the Conference Champion with a score of 70 (-2) and has medaled in multiple matches this season.

Rotary Student of the Month

Congratulations to senior, Rodger Zawodniak, for being chosen as the Alton-Godrey Rotary Student of the Month.

Golfers State Bound

Good luck and safe travels to juniors Carson Jones and Reese Livingstone as they head off to the IHSA State Championship 1A Tournament. Both will play October 18-19 in Bloomington and Decatur, respectively.

Homecoming 2024

Congratulations to the reigning 2024 MCHS King & Queen, Alex McCloud and Maya Stephan! Students had a fantastic week filled with fun activities, including theme dress-up days, the first pep rally, a parade, and football game. The celebration culminated in a wonderful dance and coronation on Saturday night. Here’s to a memorable year ahead!

Boys Soccer: Player of the Month

Senior MCHS soccer player, Jude Keller, was named Tucker's Automotive Repair & Tire Male Athlete of the Month. Keller has played soccer since the age of 3 and credits the sport for teaching him leadership, discipline, humility, respect, and kindness.

Volleyball News

Arista Bunn, a junior at Marquette Catholic High School, is being recognized for her outstanding achievements in volleyball. Bunn is a Tucker's Automotive Repair and Tire Female Athlete of the Month for the Explorers.

Girls Tournament Results

Congratulations to sophomores, Lexi Taylor and Kaylee Piar, for being named to the Gateway Conference All-Conference team. They each shot an 89 at the Woodlands on Wednesday to earn their all-conference award. On Explorers!
